The purpose of this sorority shall be to promote awareness of community service and civic duty to the city of Hammond, the surrounding areas and their constituents and the student body of Southeastern Louisiana University, to promote sisterhood within the organization and unity among the various organizations on campus, and to adopt and follow the principles outlined in the national purpose of Omega Phi Alpha.
