About Us

Omega Phi Alpha National Service Sorority was founded June 15, 1967 in Bowling Green, Ohio. Today there are 20 active chapters on college campuses across the nation. Each chapter is unique, but all are dedicated to the sorority's cardinal principles of friendship, leadership, and service.

Alpha Epsilon at Southeastern Louisiana University began November 2005 with 23 ladies who wanted to share in the friendship, leadership and service ideals of Omega Phi Alpha. On June 11, 2006 18 of those ladies were inducted into the sisterhood and became the founding mothers.

Today's Friends, tomorrow's leaders, forever in service

Expanding our family

In the fall of 2006 nine ladies expressed their interest in sharing the ideals of Omega Phi Alpha. After all of their hard work and dedication Alpha Epsilon's first pledge class was inducted.

An ode to sisterhood

I stand before you and accept you as my sister
My sister, my friend, an extension of me
Together we walk hand in hand
Our purpose clearly defined, our destination unknown.
